# Create a new step

Double-click on the canvas

Quickly double-click on an empty area to create a new node at that location.

Fill in the modal

Give a title and content to your new step.

Save

Click "Save" to create the step and add it to the graph.

Quick alternative

You can also use the "+" button at the top of the Node Flow or right-click and select "New step".

# Connect steps

To create a link between two steps:

Find the output point

Locate the small circle at the bottom of the source node.

Drag to the target

Click and hold on the output point, then drag to the input point (at the top) of the target node.

Define the link text

A modal opens allowing you to define the choice text that the reader will see.

# Edit a step

Several methods to edit an existing step:

  1. Double-click on the node — Opens the full editor
  2. Single click then "Edit" button — In the side panel
  3. Right-click then "Edit" — Context menu

# Delete elements

Warning

Deleting a step is irreversible and will also remove all connections to that step.

  • Delete a node — Select it and press "Delete" or use the context menu
  • Delete a connection — Click on the connection line then on the trash icon

# Reorganize the graph

You can drag and drop nodes to visually reorganize your graph. Connections follow automatically.

Recommended organization

Place the starting point at the top and let the story "flow" downward. Ending steps should be at the bottom of the graph.
