# Create a new story

Creating a story is the first step of your adventure on Livre Arbitre. This guide walks you through the initial setup of your narrative project.

# Accessing the creation page

1

Open the Writeboard

From the main menu, click "My stories" to access your author dashboard.

2

Click on New story

The purple button in the top right corner allows you to create a new project.

3

Fill in the form

Give it a catchy title and a description that makes people want to read.

# Configure the settings

Once your story is created, you can access the Settings to fine-tune its configuration.

General tab
Edit the title, add a cover image (500 KB max), and manage the languages of your story. You can offer your narrative in multiple languages.
Configuration tab
Enable multiplayer mode (2-4 players), character chat, item inventory, or hero stats according to your narrative needs.
Metadata tab
Choose a category (Adventure, Fantasy, Horror...), add tags to improve discoverability, and define the target audience.
Accessibility tab
Configure the reading mode (classic, immersive with sounds, or voice) and enable accessible mode for readers with specific needs.
Publication status

By default, your story is in "Draft" mode. Switch it to "Shared" to let friends test it, or to "Published" to make it accessible to everyone.
